If you’re here you probably know me, but on the off-chance you don’t, my name is Matt (麦佳明). I’ve finished my first two years at Yale University and taken a leave of absence to study in Beijing for the year. I’m a Greenburg Scholar, which is basically the same thing as a Light Fellow, which is totally awesome. When I was little I accidentally input my name as “Majj” in “The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past,” and I’ve always liked that name. I’ve grown up in Los Angeles. I like folk, jazz, power ballads, tennis, and weiqi. Also, Neal Stephenson, Helen DeWitt, and Baudelaire. A Lesson is Learned but the Damage is Irreversible is my favorite webcomic, and Chrono Trigger is my favorite video game. If you ask my friends, I like everything, even if I shouldn’t.
Facts about the Dispatch:
–Current version is 1.0!
–This is one of many blogs that students studying abroad write. If you want more, more, more (or you want another perspective on similar things), then try looking for other blogs in a search engine (like Technorati), or on the Light site (which you may need a Yale SID to access).
–The time listed below each post as posting time is the time in whatever timezone I was in when I posted. I have modified things for this to be the case, as it is important context for each post.
–This blog ought to thank one J. for his nine(!) emails.
I can be reached at redgeomancer@gmail.com.
